Description
The feather has been considered spiritually symbolic for centuries. During the Iron Age the Druids wore feathered cloaks as they believed it helped them transcend from the earthly plane. Indian Chiefs wore feathers to symbolize their communication with spirit, plus used them to adorn their dance sticks (also known as a prayer, spirit or medicine stick) for a variety of rituals; like praying for rain. The feathers were carefully selected for the purpose of the ceremony and for the person who would be wearing them.
Nowadays it is said that if you see a feather it is a message from the Angels or a loved one that is no longer with you. As most of us cannot see the Angels, they drop their feathers as a way of letting us know they are with us. It's their way of wrapping their wings around us to give us a loving hug I guess. It was that thought that inspired this abstract image, to portray an Angelic Embrace. I hope you like it.
